About Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture
Mizunami City is located in Higashi Mino, Gifu Prefecture.
The Kiso River flows through the north and the Toki River flows through the center, and the city is rich in nature, with 70% of the city area covered by forests.
Since ancient times, the area has produced high-quality clay and developed as a city of ceramics. In recent years, the livestock industry, including Mizunami Buono Pork, has also become thriving.
Furthermore, during the Edo period, it was a historic town that prospered as a post town on the Nakasendo road, one of the five main roads, and saw an influx of politics, economics, and culture from the East and West.
